Pre-event recovery planning for land-use in New Zealand

This report addresses the issue of recovery after a disaster, and presents a methodology for pre-event recovery planning for land-use in New Zealand. The Ministry of Civil Defence and Emergency Management currently define ‘recovery’ as “The co-ordinated efforts and processes to effect the immediate, medium, and long-term holistic regeneration of a community following a disaster”.
