Brief Overview of the Disaster 
After a torrential rainstorm pummeled La Paz, Bolivia, on Tuesday (Feb. 19), killing 70 people and injuring 150 more. Hailstorms, heavy rains and flash floods tore through the region, destroying homes, washing away bridges and ripping up road surfaces and brick walls.
