Six and a half years after the Great East Japan Earthquake, recovery and reconstruction have been steadily progressing in terms of infrastructure and town development. However, there are still many problems to be tackled in some areas.

This RDNA3 takes stock of almost two years of the ongoing war, estimating damage and losses along with recovery and reconstruction needs for 10 years.

The objective of the Rapid Damage and Needs Assessment (RDNA) is to estimate the impact of the storm and floods on physical assets and service delivery in the most affected areas and take stock of the ensuing recovery needs.
